MOBILE
MASTERCOOL®
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q. What is Mobile MasterCool®
A. Mobile MasterCool is a line of completely portable evaporative
coolers that require no installation or wiring. This high-velocity,
high-efficiency line of coolers provides spot cooling for areas ranging
from 700 square feet to 3,000 square feet.
Q. How will Mobile MasterCool save me money?
A. First, Mobile MasterCool saves you money by putting cool air exactly
where you need it. Spot cooling saves you money because you're not
cooling an entire facility. Second, keeping employees cool reduces
the risk of heat exhaustion or fatigue and the potential for lost
work, time, workers' compensation costs for heat-related illness and
can help increase productivity. As you know, cool employees are happier,
healthier, and safer and can be more productive.
Q. How much maintenance does a portable cooler require?
A. Minimal. We recommend emptying the water reservoir once each week
to reduce scale or mineral deposits on the pad. Periodically during
extended periods of use, or at least once per year, depending on the
usage, it is important to perform some simple cleaning to maintain
its efficiency. This involves cleaning the water system and filters.
Q. Are evaporative coolers more suitable to specific climates?
A. While evaporative cooling is especially well suited to dry, desert
climates, it is also effective in areas of higher humidity. Even in
areas of high humidity, there are many cost effective uses for evaporative
cooling, making it the right choice for spot cooling inside or out.
Q. Why Evaporative Cooling?
A. Evaporative cooling is cool the way nature intended, like the cooling
sensation you feel when you get out of a swimming pool. Water evaporates
from your skin, taking heat with it. Mobile MasterCool draws hot air
through wet pads, using a blower. As the water evaporates, it takes
heat with it, resulting in the discharge of air that is up to 30 degrees
cooler.
